blindfold got inspiration from matrix reloaded?
I was just curious, since the blindfold in the game is a purple blindfold. Once he loses his sight he ends up putting on a purple blindfold in matrix reloaded (I think that was the title).
Just curious if anyone else noticed this or think it's true? Guild wars wiki didn't have anything to say about it.

Ha, I thought that when I first saw it. But the inspiration probably came from regular blindfolds. Besides, who would reference the matrix sequels? They weren't that great.

Think one of the wiki's discussion pages has an argument over the trivia. Imo something as general as a blindfold isn't narrow enough to pin to a single origin

you mean, apart from the fact that the blindfold can't be dyed and the blindfold in the matrix revolutions is purple also? anet likes taking reference from movies.
Take the max title ranks, for example.

I think the blindfold idea was taken from real people who wear blindfolds (for fun...? I don't know why). The point is, every morning when they wake up, while they still have their sleepy eye-cover thing on, they walk over to their dresser and grab a blindfold. Since they can't see which one they are picking, they just happen to pick the blindfold that matches their clothes the worst, namely, purple.
We are definately on to something here. I shall continue to peruse the game discussion boards and over-analyze things, and I will be sure to inform you if another hot-topic such as this one arises.

Yeah the whole non dye-able part and being stuck purple was what made me think about it. Figured their wiki would have said something about it but it wasn't. I guess it is kind of general to just have a blindfold but the no dye part is what made me think it could have been true.

Whirlwind was the most used barbarian attack, but it's important to remember to click passed your target, not on him so you get the extra FPS hit in.

^ i'm pretty sure Kenshi has been around long before DA. plus wasn't his blindfold white/black?
still, a blindfold is WAY too generic to attribute to one source.
